Job Description
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and ensure the airworthiness of a diverse fleet of rotary-wing aircraft while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards. Apply A&P expertise to legacy and modern helicopter systems, collaborating with staff and volunteer maintainers to support daily operations. Uphold maintenance quality, documentation accuracy, and a culture of professionalism and safety. Perform inspections, repairs, and operational checks on engines, airframes, and aircraft systems both at the repair station and remote locations.

- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current A&P license.
- A minimum of 3+ years of recent experience with commercial helicopters (e.g., Bell 407, Sikorsky S76/S92, Airbus EC135/EC145, AS350, H125).
- Excellent communication skills, professional work habits, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- U.S. Citizen required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
- Local travel may be required for on-the-job training (Military Bases).
- Job Duties & Functions
- Perform daily and periodic inspections, maintenance, and repairs on engines and airframes in accordance with FAA regulations and company directives.
- Remove and replace parts, accessories, components, and engines as necessary.
- Troubleshoot aircraft systems, request and replace parts, and ensure airworthiness.
- Properly tag and manage the disposition of removed parts.
- Reinstall new parts on aircraft and perform operational ground checks when required.
- Perform clerical tasks, including annotating work orders and aircraft forms to reflect completed work.
- Sign and certify aircraft logs in accordance with FAA regulations when assigned away from the repair station.
- Exercise control and responsibility over spare parts and equipment.
- Maintain personal copy of company maintenance handbook and keep tools and work areas neat and orderly.
- Provide direct supervision to unlicensed mechanics working on aircraft when required.
- Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned to support the overall operation and safety of the maintenance team.
- Work with management to meet goals and objectives in completing aircraft services at both the repair station facility and remote locations.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Ability to work in hangar environments with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and aircraft operations.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing as required.
- Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver aircraft components and equipment.
- Travel to remote locations may be required for aircraft maintenance support.
