    • Role Summary
    • In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment for general aviation aircraft at the client’s facility. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, drawings, and instructions to determine project requirements and ensure proper fit and finish. In this role, you will perform tasks such as bending, forming, drilling, deburring, countersinking, dimpling, and riveting sheet metal components. In this role, you will provide guidance and mentoring to lower classification helpers, maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • You must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • You must have a minimum of 3 years of diversified aviation sheet metal experience.
    • You must be able to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts and equipment.
    • You must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
    • You must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • You must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Preferred Skills
    • You should have experience reading and using aircraft structure repair manuals.
    • You should be skilled with FAA AC 43.13-1B procedures.
    • You should have experience identifying and removing corrosion, applying and removing wash etch and Alodine materials, and applying primer.
    • You should be skilled in identifying rivets, bolts, screws, nuts, and washers.
    • Job Duties / Functions
    • You will determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials.
    • You will lay out sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, and instructions.
    • You will alter existing parts as required to meet specifications.
    • You will remove and rivet sheet metal components.
    • You will bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts.
    • You will drill various metals and debur holes, and cut lines.
    • You will set up for countersinking, dimpling, and installation of solid rivets with a rivet gun or squeeze tool.
    • You will install blind rivets and fasteners as required.
    • You will guide and instruct 1–2 lower classification helpers, 50% or more of the time.
    • You will perform other related duties as assigned.
    • Physical Demands and Work Environment
    • You will occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
    • You will work on step stools, ladders, and in confined spaces.
    • You will perform duties in both sitting and standing positions.
    • You will maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with safety requirements.
