- Role Summary
- In this role, you will work under minimal supervision to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair complex aircraft mechanical systems in a Part 145 environment while directing and mentoring other personnel. You will apply an in-depth understanding of Boeing mechanical systems, components, manuals, and FAA regulations to support safe, compliant maintenance activities. You will contribute to a high-performance culture by providing technical guidance, supporting on-the-job training, and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Education & Job Requirements
- Must have an Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of recent experience working with aircraft mechanical systems or related maintenance functions.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the physical ability to lift 25–50 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, climbing, crawling, reaching, sitting, stooping, twisting, and prolonged standing.
- Must be able to comply with DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to facility access requirements.Preferred Skills
- You will have experience in the aviation industry supporting commercial mechanical systems.
- You will have familiarity with providing mentorship, guidance, or On-the-Job Training (OJT) to junior maintenance personnel.
- You will have experience working within a high-accountability, safety-focused environment.Job Duties / Functions
- You will be supervising and assisting mechanics with minimal oversight while managing daily mechanical maintenance tasks.
- You will be performing advanced inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems and components.
- You will be overseeing and co-signing for uncertified mechanics in accordance with applicable procedures.
- You will be facilitating On-the-Job Training (OJT) to support skill development within the team.
- You will be assisting with planning, production, and quality assurance activities as needed.
- You will be ensuring consistent adherence to safety policies and raising awareness of any safety concerns.
- You will be gathering information for engineering review when required.
- You will be reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical data to perform accurate maintenance.
- You will be diagnosing system problems, replacing or repairing components, and conducting functional checks.
- You will be maintaining effective communication with coworkers and leadership to report status, issues, or delays.
- You will be completing all assignments, documentation, clocking, and job-related forms accurately and on time.
- You will be maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing additional duties as assigned.
