- Role Summary
- In this role, you will set up, inspect, repair, and maintain complex tools and fabrication equipment. You will operate factory support equipment, provide tooling support to other teams, and design or reverse engineer assembly and fabrication tools. You will ensure tools function correctly, resolve issues, and produce parts that meet quality standards, working under general direction.
- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, stand, turn, lift, climb, and operate factory support equipment.
- Must successfully complete required training (OJT or formal classroom).
- Must have or be able to obtain a NASA badge.
- Must be 100% onsite in New Orleans, LA.
- Preferred Skills
- You will have experience with MES, Outlook, and CRPMS software systems.
- You will have the ability to provide guidance on proof load integrity testing and demonstrate tooling functionality to approving authorities.
- You will have strong knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes and precision alignment techniques.
- Job Duties / Functions
- You will deliver training to internal users on the use, repair, and maintenance of complex below-the-hook equipment and test equipment such as scales and weights.
- You will use operational manuals and tooling drawings to ensure proper and safe use of equipment.
- You will review internal customer equipment requirements and evaluate vendor product capabilities and specifications.
- You will verify the structural integrity of purchased, fabricated, and repaired handling equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- You will perform routine and complex proof load procedures using weights, scales, and rigging based on established procedures.
- You will make recommendations for procedural improvements to internal organizations.
- You will perform operational inspections before and after proof load tests and review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- You will operate various software systems to review and verify tests, work orders, and equipment status.
