Job Description

The Assembler C performs scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications of avionics and electrical systems on business jets and turboprop aircraft. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing avionics systems, maintaining compliance with technical manuals and FAA regulations, documenting work accurately, coordinating with the maintenance team, ensuring proper tool and equipment usage, adhering to safety procedures, and providing guidance or training to lower-level technicians.

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • A minimum of 5 years of recent avionics-related maintenance experience on business jet or turboprop aircraft
    • Experience with installation or basic understanding of VHF Comm systems, GPS, VOR, ILS, DME, transponder systems, autopilot systems, pitot-static systems (including RVSM re-certifications), aircraft batteries, and cabin entertainment systems
    • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and general flight line troubleshooting
    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
    • Possession of personal tools
    • Preferred Skills
    • FAA Repairman Certificate with an avionics repair station (preferred)
    • FCC license (preferred)
    • Experience training or mentoring lower-level mechanics
    • Familiarity with client inspection procedures and documentation processes
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Perform removal, cleaning, servicing, and replacement of aircraft components using specialized tooling and ground support equipment
    • Troubleshoot, remove, and replace various aircraft electrical and avionics systems
    • Follow oral and written instructions, including supervisor directives and technical manuals, to complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks
    • Provide guidance and training to lower-level technicians as required
    • Maintain, organize, and store all tools and equipment in serviceable condition
    • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and maintain a clean and orderly work area
    • Record all maintenance actions and personal work history on OJT forms for the Training Department
    • Successfully complete company-required training courses
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands/arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • May be required to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds
