- Role Summary
- In this role, you will serve as a Manufacturing Engineer 3 responsible for developing and implementing production and tooling methodologies, leading manufacturing plans, and ensuring producibility across multiple disciplines. You will participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), conduct design and variation analyses, and resolve technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule for the B-52 program in Everett, WA.
- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have an Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of aerospace experience.
- Must have expertise in producibility, including design/build evaluations and implementation of manufacturing solutions.
- Must have experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, PDM/CAPP, and REDARS.
- Must be able to conduct design reviews, layout, and drawing reviews.
- Must have completed ME school or equivalent training to be ready to contribute immediately.
- Must be able to work onsite in Everett, WA (Building 40-32) and follow first-shift schedules, with potential to work other shifts.
- Must be able to travel if needed and relocate at own expense if out-of-state.
- Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Preferred Skills
- You will have experience with BDS and B-52 programs.
- You will have experience in supply chain, tooling, and program start-up.
- You will have experience implementing lean principles and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- You will have development program experience and familiarity with specs and standards.
- Job Duties / Functions
- You will be developing and implementing production and tooling methodologies.
- You will participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
- You will conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability meets requirements.
- You will assist in documenting producibility best practices for inclusion in project plans.
- You will analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
- You will resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.
- You will coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
- You will validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
- You will implement lean principles and technologies to optimize manufacturing processes.
- You will be working under general direction to meet program goals and timelines.
