- Role Summary
- In this role, you will serve as an MP&P Technical Analyst responsible for evaluating parts, materials, processes, technology, and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with specifications. You will analyze failures, develop test plans, determine root causes, propose procedure revisions, and provide technical consultation to internal and external customers.
- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have an Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in evaluating parts, materials, and processes or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have knowledge of electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical commodities.
- Must have knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to solve technical problems.
- Must have knowledge of industry, military, and government specifications, handbooks, and standards.
- Must have experience with electrical troubleshooting, wire installation, and electrical wiring drawings.
- Must have experience with ENOVIA and CATIA (reading/navigating; design experience not required).
- Must have experience in the aerospace industry and shipside support.
- Must be able to work onsite in San Antonio, TX (Building 91-375).
- Must successfully complete OJT or formal classroom training as a contingency for assignment.
- Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Preferred Skills
- You will have experience analyzing and validating parts, materials, and processes in aerospace applications.
- You will have experience documenting failures and recommending procedural improvements.
- You will have strong skills in collaboration and technical consultation with internal and external teams.
- You will have experience supporting continuous improvement and implementing new concepts and technologies.
- Job Duties / Functions
- You will be evaluating parts, materials, processes, technology, and equipment through research and testing.
- You will be analyzing failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.
- You will be generating test plans, identifying failures, determining root causes, and documenting results and recommendations.
- You will be proposing, developing, and validating revisions to procedures and specifications.
- You will be determining the suitability of parts, materials, and processes, and coordinating the resolution of issues with suppliers and customers.
- You will be supporting continuous improvement by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating, and implementing new concepts and technology.
- You will be providing technical consultation to internal and external customers.
- You will be working under general direction, following established standards and processes.
- You will be able to obtain customer access approval, passing a third-party background check regarding finances, employment, residency, past drug use, military service, and criminal behavior.
