    • Role Summary
    • In this role, you will perform inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft sheet metal structures while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and company policies. You will interpret blueprints and technical specifications, fabricate and install sheet metal components, and maintain accurate documentation of all work performed. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to support aircraft maintenance operations.
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must have post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • Must have a minimum of 1–5 years of experience in aircraft structural repair.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
    • Must be able to organize and plan work to meet deadlines.
    • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
    • Must be able to read, write, and understand English, and follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Must be able to interpret and apply technical data related to aircraft structural repair.
    • Must be able to safely drive and operate a standard shift vehicle and other applicable equipment.
    • Must be able to work independently or with supervision.
    • Must be able to work at both the Marana, AZ, and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Prefer “A” or Airframe License.
    • Job Duties/Functions
    • Will research technical data and perform inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft sheet metal structures, including main landing gear fittings, aircraft skins, and floor beams, in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies.
    • Will read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine fabrication, assembly, and installation methods.
    • Will plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts, equipment, and products using knowledge of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques.
    • Will select appropriate gauge and type of sheet metal (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, steel) or nonmetallic material (e.g., plastics, fiberglass) based on specifications.
    • Will lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials using tools such as scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers, applying shop mathematics and layout techniques to develop and trace patterns.
    • Will perform maintenance work, including repair and upkeep of company equipment and shop housekeeping.
    • Will complete required documentation, including Component Removal Log entries, identification tags, repairable/parts routing tags, and work cards.
    • Will document training received on training records with appropriate lead, supervisor, or manager sign-off.

    • Will direct activities to maintain safe working conditions and protect employees from harm.
    • Will participate in safety education programs and training to recognize and report workplace hazards.
    • Physical Demands:
    • Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
    • Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
    • Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 50lbs unassisted.
    • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity, corrected vision, and hearing to normal range.
