- Role Summary
- TheCommercial Certification Procedures Specialistis responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining certification procedures to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role involves working closely with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to support the certification of commercial aircraft and systems.
- Education & Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of related experience in aerospace.
- Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering; related degrees with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Must be able to identify differences between FAA Order 8100.15b and FAA Order 8100.15c and develop new ODA procedure manual content or revise existing content to ensure compliance with FAA Order requirements.
- Prefer general knowledge of FAA Orders.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and experience building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be a self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work individually and as part of a team, prioritizing responsibilities based on criticality.
- Prefer knowledge of the certification and ODA regulatory environment and experience working with the FAA.
- Must have exceptional skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Job Duties/Functions
- Will develop, update, and maintain the ODA Procedures Manual to ensure compliance with FAA Orders, particularly aligning with updates from FAA Order 8100.15b to 8100.15c.
- Will identify regulatory and procedural gaps and revise existing certification processes accordingly.
- Will collaborate with engineering teams, program managers, and FAA representatives to ensure certification activities follow approved processes.
- Will prepare documentation and reports required for ODA compliance and internal audits.
- Will support training and communication of ODA processes to internal stakeholders.
- Will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for certification procedures and regulatory alignment.
- Will assist in monitoring FAA policy and regulatory updates, ensuring Bell’s manuals and practices remain compliant.
- Will serve as a liaison between Bell’s certification teams and regulatory authorities to resolve compliance-related issues.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits related to certification processes.
