• Role Summary
• In this role, the engineer will design and validate electronic systems and components, develop specifications and detailed designs, monitor technical performance, and support product lifecycle activities. Responsibilities include hardware design, system troubleshooting, supplier support, and exploring emerging technologies. Work is performed under general direction.

• Education & Job Requirements
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (for Bachelor’s) or 3+ years (for Master’s); equivalent
• combinations of education and experience considered
• ABET accreditation preferred but not required
• Proficient in cable & assembly wiring design
• Skilled at developing power distribution & control systems
• Experienced in applying system & assembly grounding techniques
• Adept at integrating utilities within design

• Job Duties/Functions
• Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
• Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
• Validates designs through various methods of review, testing, and analysis.
• Identifies, tracks, and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Supports Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope.
• Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
• Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
• Anything from detailed hardware design to system troubleshooting.
• Works under general direction.
