    • Role Summary
    • Proficient in system troubleshooting, component replacement, assembly/disassembly, and performing flight operation support, including daily, pre/post-flight, and turnaround inspections. Experienced in documenting maintenance actions, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing training, and working safely under variable shifts and outdoor conditions.
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Typically 4 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years of related work, Bachelor, etc.).
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance
    • Willing to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
    • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Must be able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes
    • Preferred Skills
    • Fighter Avionics/Electrical modification experience
    • F/A-18 (AT/AE) Qualifications
    • Prior experience with Navy 4790.1 requirements is preferred
    • Job Duties/Functions
    • Technician maintains the following: Aircraft avionics/electrical and associated equipment
    • Remove and install avionics/electrical and related components and gear
    • Perform daily, pre- and post-flight, and periodic aircraft inspections.
    • Perform flight operation activities to include daily, turnaround, launch, and recovery, including plane captain activities
    • Assembles, disassembles, and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
    • Oversees assembly, disassembly, or overhaul.
    • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
    • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
    • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
    • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
    • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight-worthiness requirements.
    • Oversees training.
    • Works under general direction.
    • Prioritizes quality, product, and people safety
