    • Job Summary
    • The Systems Engineer 4 leads the design and integration of complex systems and system-of-systems solutions. This role defines performance requirements, optimizes system architecture, and ensures safety, reliability, and compliance while collaborating across teams to resolve technical challenges and achieve mission success.
    • Education & Job Requirements
    • A Minimum of 10 years or more of Engineering experience across multiple domains of engineering expertise
    • Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience, or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. (Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.)
    • Engineering Experience 3-5 years each in a multitude of relevant engineering disciplines, in addition to systems engineering, such as:
    • Electrical / Mechanical design
    • Software/Firmware design/testing
    • Test Engineering – developing test sets, HIL/SIL experience
    • Manufacturing / Process engineer
    • 3 years Systems Engineering
    • Experience deploying program/product from design to fielding – 1st hand experience (doing) developing requirements, design criteria, verification, and validation test cases/plans
    • Systems Training – INCOSE SEP certification, graduate school systems degree/certificate
    • Familiarity with Defense Acquisition University – System Engineering
    • Experience with application of digital engineering concepts (MBSE) and open systems (WOSA, FACE, etc)
    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
    • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
    • Performs various analyses to optimize the total system of systems and/or system architecture.
    • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
    • Develops, maintains, and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
    • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
