- Position Responsibilities
- The Product Repair/Modification Technician A is responsible for the precise execution of repair, modification, and overhaul activities on complex aerospace components and systems. This role ensures the operational integrity, reliability, and safety of products by meticulously adhering to engineering specifications, technical documentation, and rigorous quality standards. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, perform intricate adjustments and replacements, and document all work performed to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and support continuous operational readiness.
- Education & Experience Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have 1 or more years of experience working with tools (hand-held tools).
- Must possess the willingness to work with beryllium or other chemical elements.
- Must have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- 1 year of experience working with a microscope (preferred)
- Job Functions/Duties
- Assists with the disassembly of system components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
- Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.
- Assists with performing tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g., jacking, towing, system operations).
- Works under supervision.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
