    • Job Description
    • To perform functions assigned in the prep, prime and painting of small parts, nacelles, flight control surfaces, etc.
    • Education and Job Requirements
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years of work-related aircraft painting experience
    • Must have a valid driver's license
    • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in painting and methods of mixing paint colors
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical publications required
    • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required
    • Aviation Painting experience preferred, either fixed wing or rotorcraft experience desired
    • Job Duties and Responsibilities
    • Research technical data and perform aircraft painting functions, applying knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
    • Cleans, sands, and applies chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting.
    • Mixes and thins paint or other coatings to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts.
    • Masks and covers surface not to be painted.
    • Sprays specified amount of thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings, such as paint, lacquer, sealer, or enamel onto prepared surfaces using spray equipment.
    • Performs maintenance work such as repair and maintenance of company equipment and shop housecleaning.
    • Strips, Sands masks, and insignias, symbols, designs, or other markings on aircraft according to blueprints or specifications, using stencils patterns, measuring instruments, brushes, or spray equipment.
    • Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
    • Set up portable ventilators, exhaust units, ladders, and scaffolding prior to painting.
    • Ensures that proper documentation is made on training record for training received and signed by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
