- Role Summary
- In this role, you will be responsible for removing, inspecting, repairing, and reinstalling aircraft interior components in compliance with regulatory and company standards. This includes seats, panels, flooring, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, and other cabin features. You will interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and maintain a focus on safety, quality, and efficient operations.
- Education & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of recent interiors removal and installation experience on corporate aircraft.
- Experience breaking down cabinets, removing hardware, and working with inlays.
- Experience stripping finishes using heat and scrapers.
- Experience sanding, prepping, and touching up raw veneer and hardwood surfaces.
- Experience mixing, matching, and applying stains and paints on new veneers.
- Experience spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats.
- Experience performing aircraft touch-ups.
- Experience masking and unmasking components for finishing processes.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical engineering drawings, and other technical documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills regarding individual and aircraft status.
- Basic PC skills.
- Own hand tools required.

- Job Duties & Functions
- Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work orders or customer requests.
- Inspect and troubleshoot interior systems for damage or wear, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.
- Repair or replace damaged interior parts, including upholstery, panels, and fittings.
- Perform and document all work according to applicable manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to Manufacturer’s General Work Requirements in factory, shop, or hangar settings.
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in 5-S activities.
- Assist with drop-ins and planned maintenance projects during slow periods as needed.
- Clean aircraft as required.
- Travel for international assignments as required.
- Assist with maintenance at off-site locations and other maintenance disciplines as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Physical Requirements & Environment
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and manipulation of interior components.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with repetitive hand/arm movements.
- Exposure to noise, solvents, adhesives, paints, and other chemicals.
- Work performed in hangars, shop areas, and aircraft cabins, potentially under variable environmental conditions.
