Job Description

The Interior Installer Mechanic is responsible for fabricating, installing, and refurbishing aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work orders or customer requests. This role performs all work in compliance with manuals, regulations, and general work requirements while adhering to environmental, health, and safety policies. The technician participates in 5-S activities, assists with additional drop-ins or planned maintenance during slow periods, performs aircraft cleaning, and supports off-site maintenance and other maintenance disciplines as required

    • Education & Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • A minimum of 3–5 years of interiors removal and installation experience on corporate aircraft
    • Ability to break down cabinets, remove hardware and inlays, strip finishes using heat and scrapers, and sand/prepare raw veneer and hardwood
    • Ability to mix, match, and apply stains and paints, spray polyester base coats and urethane top coats, and perform touch-ups
    • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings
    • Basic PC skills
    • Authorized to work in the United States

    • Job Duties & Functions
    • Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
    • Perform and document all work per appropriate manuals and regulations
    • Adhere to general work requirements for factory, shop, and hangar positions
    • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
    • Participate in 5-S activities
    • Assist with drop-ins and planned maintenance during slow periods of unplanned work
    • Clean aircraft as required
    • Travel for international assignments as needed
    • Assist with off-site maintenance and other maintenance disciplines
    • Physical Requirements & Environment
    • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
    • Ability to lift and handle tools, components, and interior furnishings
    • Work in hangar and shop environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, and aircraft finishes
    • Flexible to work required hours, including overtime or off-schedule shifts
