Job Description

PurchaserPOSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders relative to requisition requirements ensuring continuous workflow of purchased materials in an effort to meet the schedule needs of all departments. Directly responsible for vendor relations. Responsible to ensure the Purchasing Department is operating in compliance with the Repair Station Manual and Operations Manual.

    • Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Inspect components for damage and research proper repair techniques
    • Coordinate with Engineering for documentation of repairs that exceed SRM data
    • Use and interpret manufacturer's maintenance manuals and blueprints
    • Verify repairs are being performed to proper, approved data
    • Utilize precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.)
    • Inspect all work accomplished on articles maintained/repaired at DAS to assure they meet all approved data requirements.
    • Assure proper inspection records, reports, and forms have been properly executed from receiving inspection, through in process and prior to return to service.
    • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.
    • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years aircraft/component maintenance.
    • Airframe/A&P license preferred.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Education:
    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
    • High School graduate or equivalent.
    • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
    • Moderate distance walking required.
