    • Position Responsibilities
    • This position will be responsible for overseeing crew in a flight line and hangar maintenance environment maintaining aircraft for flight training program.The job includes management of the shop processes, control and evaluation of the shop expenses and finances, and development of the operations to meet the needs of the company. Work order processing, logbook and maintenance release entries, and pricing to the sales and customers are routine duties. Job duties will vary each day and will encompass projects as designated by the Accountable Manager. Will be required to work independently and lead designated customer and company projects to completion.
    • Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience)
    • Must possess a valid A&P certificate
    • Inspection Authority (IA)
    • Minimum of 5 years of General Aviation Aircraft Maintenance (preferred) or a combination of GA and other.
    • Minimum of 1 year of Supervisory/Management experience (preferred)
    • Job Duties
    • Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinates.
    • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
    • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
    • Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
    • Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
    • Directs and participates in complete inspections, repair work, preventive maintenance, and parts replacement.
    • Accompanies the pilot on test flights to determine the airworthiness of aircraft and ensures that adjustments are made as necessary.
    • Checks and files airworthiness directives, FAA publications, service instructions, engine specifications, aircraft specifications, or any other necessary documents.
    • Performs annual various-hour engine and airframe inspections, preventive maintenance checks, and any major/minor repairs.
    • Maintains mechanical and electrical hangar maintenance.
    • May occasionally perform any task assigned to subordinate staff that is consistent with any licensing or certification requirements. Performs related work as assigned.
    • Models to look for: Beechcraft, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, Lycoming, Piper, MD Helicopters, Sikorsky/Schweizer, Bell, Airbus aircraft, and more!
